Who we are
Maison Noir is a fine fragrance house rooted in the mastery of French perfumery and shaped by contemporary design. We create fragrances with a clear intention: to make scent understandable, expressive and visually guided.
How we create fragrances
Every Maison Noir perfume begins with a story – a narrative world translated into words and images before the scent itself is composed. This approach shapes our perfumer briefs and defines the emotional and intuitive direction of each creation.
Smell with your eyes
We express the character of each scent visually and systematically. Our numeric system classifies every fragrance through its three dominant notes, described with numbers from 0 to 9. This makes the essence of a scent visible – the foundation of what we call “Smell with your eyes.”
Our signature
Our flacons feature a sculpted dome and a golden guiding star – a subtle symbol of orientation and character – set within a clean, architectural silhouette. These elements express the Maison Noir design language: classic forms reinterpreted through contemporary tension.

Our perfumes are composed in France, while design and creative direction originate in Switzerland – a combination that shapes our disciplined yet expressive aesthetic.
David Weber
David is the one who turns instinct into structure. He started his career in finance, where clarity is a discipline, then broadened his perspective abroad with the intent to build something of his own. When Claudio first shared the idea for MAISON NOIR, David immediately saw what it could become and what it needed: a system that helps people navigate scent through feeling, image, and intuition. Not to reduce fragrance to numbers, but to make its character easier to recognise, at a glance.
Claudio Denz
Claudio has spent nearly two decades shaping fragrance into something you can’t quite explain but never forget. Working with international brands taught him restraint, balance, and how to distil an idea until only the essential remains. Over time, one thought became impossible to ignore: to create a house from the ground up, on his own terms. MAISON NOIR grew from that ambition, and from the trust between two friends, built through countless conversations, shared references, and a quiet obsession with doing things properly.
